garlic-buttered champignons for microwave


Mushrooms always turns out very well when made in your microwave-oven. 

With the holidays coming up it is always nice to have some delicious sides to serve with your main dish.

This recipe is quick and easy.  You can serve it as a side-dish for any kind of meat or just as a snack with fresh bread.ENJOY  

Garlic-buttered champignons from Cooking With Microwave

This is what you need


serves 2

1 serving is  150 cal

1 small onion

200 gr. (7 oz. ) fresh champignons

2 tbsp butter or margarine

1 – 2 cloves of garlic

2 tbsp finely chopped parsley

How to make garlic-buttered mushrooms in your microwave, step by step

Handy in the kitchen

This is what you do

1. Peel and finely chop the onion, clean the mushrooms, (make sure to get all the water out of the cap) and slice it

2. Stir butter, pressed garlic and parsley together

3. Place the champignons in a microsafe bowl, mix in the onion and top with knobs of the garlic-butter

4. Cover the bowl well, it “spits” a bit, and cook on full effect for 3-4 minutes

notes:   Serve with fresh dark bread or toast as an appetizer or as a side to any meat

Mushrooms always spit a bit while cooking so use a lid that cover  it to keep your oven clean
