Gratinated Squash for Microwave


The recipe I am sharing with you today is one of my favorites, gratinated squash.

I have never been very fond of vegetables, so I am always looking for a way to make them taste better.

You can always modify this recipe and add other vegetables or spices if you disire, but for me this is the perfect mix.

Squash, tomatoes and garlic, it tastes like a little piece of heaven.

Gratinated Squash

This is what you need

serves 4

1 serving = 215 cal

600 gr (21 oz) squash

3-4 tomatoes

1/5 tsp salt

1/5 tsp pepper

1 clove of garlic, crushed

1 1/2 dl (1 cup) cream

2 dl (1 1/3 cup) shredded cheese

How to make gratinated squash in your microwave, step by step



Handy in the kitchen


This is what you do

1 Clean and cut the squash into strips, clean and slice the tomatoes

2. Layer the squash and tomatoes with salt, pepper and garlic in 1 big or 2 smaller microsafe bowls

3. Pour the cream on along the sides of the bowl and spread the cheese on top

4. Place the bowl in the Microwave ( do not cover) and cook on full effect for 4-5 minutes, when done, wait 5 minutes before serving

Serve alone with bread, as a starter or as a sidedish for meat or fish

Note;¬†Use a knife to cut the squash, if it’s grated it release liquid and end up mushy.
